About

My name is Spencer Clark and I'm a travel photographer based in Atlanta, GA. Photography is a means of sharing experiences and conveying emotions with others, capturing places and moments few people get to see for themselves. Photographing extreme environments like Antarctica, hidden species of the Galapagos, and the mystery of Easter Island have driven my passion for photographing nature and landscape. The camera is a way to inspire travel and paint a new visual and emotional experience. Seeing such extreme and magical environments changes one’s outlook on life and enriches what it means to be human. The world would be a better place if every person experiences such places. I hope to inspire those who see my work to get out and explore.

What drives my passion starts with a question I ask myself, "How can I capture something that people haven’t seen before?” Sharing the experience of a destination through the lens brings a place to life. As a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor, travel is in my blood. While traveling to these many interesting places, it dawned on me that I should be capturing its beauty and wonder to share my experiences with others.

I am self-taught, self-funded, and driven by my desire to share and inspire others with my work.  If one person can be inspired by my work, I will have succeeded with my mission. In addition to my travel/nature photography, I also teach photography and the basics of editing as an avenue to inspire others. The one piece of lasting advice I go by in my photography and teaching is to “Never Stop Exploring”.
